  • New Years Day
  • Independence Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

If you do not have a valid photo, you will be issued a letter stating that you must come into a driver license station to have your picture taken.

Mississippi Department of Public Safety is NOT responsible for Driver's Licenses that are lost in the mail.

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety does NOT allow credentials to be mailed to post office boxes. All credentials must be mailed to a PHYSICAL address.

You will need your Driver's License to complete this page.

In order to renew your Driver's License online you must:

  • Be at least 16 ½ years of age
  • Be renewing a Class D (light commercial) or Class R license
  • Have a valid Driver's License
  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express (credit or debit cards)
  • You may renew online as early as 6 months prior to your expiration or up to one year past your expiration

Enter your information exactly as it appears on your Driver's License and then select Continue to receive your renewal information. If you do not know your Driver's License number, please enter the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number to proceed.

By completing a transaction through this service, you are attesting you are doing so on your own behalf.

Once your Driver's License has been validated by the agency, your credential will be mailed within 48 hours to your residential street address on file.

Credentials cannot be mailed to P.O. Boxes.

I swear/affirm that: I am a U.S. Citizen. I will have lived in this state and county for at least 30 days before voting, and if a resident of a municipality, I will have lived in the municipality for at least 30 days before voting.

I have never been convicted of murder, rape, bribery, theft, arson, obtaining money or goods under false pretense, perjury, forgery, embezzlement, or bigamy, or I have had my rights restored as required by law.

I have not been declared mentally incompetent by a court. Furthermore, I certify that I am at least eighteen (18) years old (or I will be before the next general election), the information given by me is true and correct and that I have truly answered all questions on this application for registration, and that I will faithfully support the Constitution of the United States and of the State of Mississippi, and will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.


The penalty for conviction of false registration is imprisonment for not more than five (5) years or a fine of not more than five thousand dollars ($5000), or both. Miss. Code Ann ยง 23-15-17.

The Mississippi Donor Registry only accepts enrollments on residents 18 years of age and older. Until residents are 18 years old, their parents (or legal guardians) will make the final decision about organ, eye and tissue donation at the appropriate time. Your wish to make that decision for your children should be shared with your family.
