On July 1, 2014 (Budget Year 2015) MAGIC was implemented as Mississippi State Government's Enterprise Resource
Planning (ERP) solution. MAGIC is the statewide accounting and procurement system of record, encompassing Finance (accounting,
budgeting, grants management), Logistics (procurement, fleet management, inventory management), and Data Warehouse functionality.
State of Mississippi's Fiscal Year runs from July 1st through June 30th of the following year. Additionally, a two month Lapse Period from July to August allows time for agencies to process
June invoices and complete purchasing transactions initiated but not completed prior to June 30th.
